In the period 1996 – 2018 he defended 5 doctoral and 30 PhD theses in Physics and Mathematics in the specialties “Physics of devices, elements and systems” and “Physics of solid state”.

Teachers and postgraduate students of the department received 3 Certificates of Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine, 7 Scholarships of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, 4 scholarships of Soros graduate student, 5 Scholarships of the Visegrad Fund, 2 DAAD scholarships, 4 International grants of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and the Prize. Mianowski Polish Academy of Sciences.

Students of the specialty during the period 2009 – 2017 received 14 Certificates for prizes in the All-Ukrainian competitions of scientific works and 2 Certificates in the All-Ukrainian Olympiads.

Research Methods:

condensation of metals in high and high vacuum;
high-resolution electron microscopy, precision electronography and microdiffraction in the study of the structural-phase state of the samples;
determination of component concentration by methods of theoretical calculation, x-ray microanalysis and secondary-ion mass spectrometry;
experimental study of dimensional, temperature and concentration dependences of specific resistance, temperature coefficient of resistance (TCO), strain factor (CT), magnetoresistance (MO), incl. giant (GMO) and anisotropic (AMO) magnetoresistance;
computer processing of results in LabVIEW environment;
development of theoretical phenomenological models of electrophysical and magnetoresistive properties of multilayer and multicomponent film materials based on metals, semiconductors and nanoparticles.
