1.2 Aims of the study programme
The program aims to provide students with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and skills, skills and other competencies in the field of electronic technology, nanomaterials, computer technology. The training of masters is based on the fundamental principles of the construction and operation of modern electronic and sensory systems, computer and information technologies, engineering and scientific research.

Emphasis on the construction and programming of modern electronic micro- and nanodevices, the operation of electronic equipment and sensor systems, tools for scientific and engineering research using modern information and computer technologies.
The main focus of the study programme and its majors The programme is based on the well-known scientific positions, taking into account current state of electronics development; oriented on topical specialization within which the further professional and scientific careers are possible: computer technology and nanomaterials in electronics (general, theoretical and apllied).

1.5 Teaching,learning and assessment
Teaching and learning  Student-centered learning, problem-oriented learning, e-learning, self-learning.
Teaching is conducted in the form of lectures, multimedia lectures, seminars, practical classes, laboratory works. It also provides for independent work with the possibility of consulting with a teacher, individual classes, the use of information and communication technologies (e-learning, online lectures, OCW, distance courses) for specific educational components.
Assessment Format – written and oral comments and tutorials instructors in the process, self-assessment skills, engagement of students to evaluate each other’s work.
Summative – written examinations in educational disciplines, assessment of the current work during the study of certain educational components (presentations, testing), protection of research work of the reports on practice, public defense of qualifying (master’s) work.

PRS1. To organize the acquired knowledge for the formulation and solution of engineering and scientific problems, the choice and use of appropriate analytical methods of calculation.

PRS2. To determine the directions of modernization of technological aspects of production, introduction of the latest electronic, computer and information and communication technologies.

To build a system for organization of electronic document circulation, preparation of technical, design, technological, metrological and organizational-management documentation, reporting, verification of compliance with current norms and standards of record keeping, implementation of a quality management system at the enterprise.

PRS4. To choose the best methods of research, to modify, adapt and develop new methods and to formulate the method of processing the results.

PRS5. Apply design and modeling methods to design and implement projects and engineering solutions according to the requirements.

PRS13. To study physical processes in materials of micro and nanoelectronics using modern software tools for modeling and automation of engineering calculations, carrying out scientific experiments with computer processing and analysis of results.

PRS14. To be able to design, evaluate, debug and introduce electronic and sensory devices and systems in production, ensuring their schematic and constructive realization, taking into account the requirements of reliability, economy, environmental friendliness and energy saving.

PRS15. Be able to develop, modify and debug the software of programmable electronic and sensory systems, develop new research methods in accordance with the existing technical means and formulate a methodology for processing research results.

 

 

 

1.8 Resources available for the study programme implementation
Human resources  The main structure of the teaching staff of the educational program consists of the teaching staff of the Department of Electronics, General and Applied Physics, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. Also, the teaching staff of the Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communications is involved in the teaching of certain courses in accordance with their competence and experience.

 

 

Lecturers taught within the framework of the program are active and recognized scholars who publish works in domestic and foreign scientific press, have the appropriate professional competence and experience in the field of teaching, research and pedagogical activities.

The practice-oriented nature of the educational program involves the broad participation of practitioners who are relevant to the program’s direction, as well as the involvement of high-level competent experts in teaching, which enhances the synergy of theoretical and practical training.

The head of the project team and the teaching staff that ensures its implementation complies with the requirements defined by the Licensing Conditions for conducting educational activities of educational institutions.

Material and technical support he educational process for the educational program takes place in classrooms and laboratories equipped with audiovisual equipment and necessary technical equipment. In educational work for the educational program, 27 technical means are used, including 15 laboratory stands, 2 high-resolution translucent electronic microscopes, 2 mass spectrometers, 4 vacuum units and 2 automated complexes for studying the properties of film materials of electronics.
Training sessions are held in 2 computer classes equipped with licensed operating systems from Microsoft and application software packages from Microsoft, Autodesk, Intel, Delcam, Siemens, etc.
Information, learning and methodic provisions Students studying in this educational program and teachers can use library and information complex, interuniversity scientific library, separate libraries and library points at the university’s educational and research departments, virtual electronic reading rooms. Information resources of the SSU Library for the educational program are formed in accordance with the subject area and current trends of scientific research in this field. Students have access to printed publications in various languages, including scientific journals, monographs, tutorials, textbooks, dictionaries, etc., reading literature using traditional library search tools, or using Internet access and databases. Access to all library databases is provided on the University’s internal network. Students use teaching materials prepared by teachers: textbooks, lecture presentations, lecture notes, methodical instructions for practical, laboratory, seminars, individual tasks and independent work, etc. Methodical material can be provided both in printed form and in electronic form.

 

 

The e-learning system provides access to materials in Ukrainian, English and Russian on disciplines of the educational program, 10 virtual laboratory works and interactive demonstrations, 30 video materials and other components of e-learning. For remote access to teaching materials, the OCW platform of the SSU has been developed (the platform allows you to combine materials from distance courses, the Lectur`ED designer with the possibility of teamwork on electronic learning resources, materials of the library’s electronic catalog, repository and links to external educational resources).

Methodological material is periodically updated and adapts to the objectives of the educational program.
